I have been following this issue for quite some time and wonder if Howard Stern is realizing how much of a hypocrite he is right now. Yes Gabourey is overweight and yes its a fact that when you are at a certain weight class it makes you very susceptible to disease such as diabetes, but it doesn't guarantee you will get this disease.

In recent months we have seen two women, Brittany Murphy and Casey Johnson, whose names were fairly high profile, more due to their infamy rather than anything, succumb to weight related issues. Now it was a well known fact that Brittany had a major eating disorder making her pint thin. Had she been healthy and at a healthy weight maybe she wouldn't have passed, and would have been strong enough to fight the pneumonia, who knows. Casey Johnson, Johnson and Johnson heiress, who was fairly thin herself, actually had diabetes and did not take care of herself and subsequently died due to complications with her disease. Yet why are we not talking about these underweight personalities.

Did Howard Stern go on some kind of demeaning diatribe about how these two needed to eat right and keep healthy? NO! He picks on Gabourey because she is not his idea of attractive. His comments were insulting and ignorant. The fact that now he changes his tune and tries to pass off his comments as a way to show his concern for the actress' potential health issues is almost laughable. He never once mentioned her health in the first show. Just at the fact that she will never work on anything again and that she's "the size of a planet". Wow, that's helpful Howard.

And who is this Robbin? she's been riding Howard's coattails for years and now she's become Howard's "Yes Man". She sounds like an ill-educated cow and needs some serious soul searching. Last time I checked, she was overweight too.

Howard Stern is what's wrong with the media. He's a direct representation of what we always talk about is the problem with society. As far as he is concerned, if you don't look like the cookie cutter thin Hollywood Starlet who eats half a Triscuit between takes and lives off Juan Valdes and Camel cigarettes, then you will not make it in Hollywood.

If Gabourey is going to loose weight it will need to be for herself. She will need to do it on her own, and not for Aging "Shock Jock" who marry women half their age just to validate his own existence. Until then, let her be as dark and lovely, as voluptuous and talented as she wants to be.

And Howard and Robin can just suck it while the rest of the world is shoving slices of humble pie down their undeserving throats... Chew, don't swallow Howard... we wouldn't want you to choke or anything... :)
